    Why do I picture a future scenario in which Google starts suing authors of out-of-print books for copyright infringement if they they try to use the Google scan without permission?

    I got that e-mail, and haven’t done anything about it yet. Class action suits always send at least half of the settlement money to the lawyers, usually more, so that part doesn’t surprise me.
